Professor Jendele Hungbo, a distinguished expert in Journalism and Media Studies at Koladaisi University, Ibadan, holds a Ph.D. from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa, awarded in 2012. His research focus centers on Interactive Media and the Performance of Identities in Nigeria and South Africa. Beyond his academic prowess, Professor Hungbo has played a pivotal role in advocating for the Ogu people in Nigeria. His commitment to providing a robust voice for the Ogu community led him to spearhead the formation of the Ogu General Assembly (OGA). As the pioneering Chairman of OGA's Steering Committee, Professor Hungbo has been instrumental in steering this initiative to remarkable success, garnering significant momentum within a short span. His passion for community engagement, coupled with his extensive experience as a media practitioner, researcher, and educator, underscores his invaluable contributions to both academia and the empowerment of the Ogu people.
