Mewhenu Hosu? Mr. Mewhenu Hosu has a strong background in Cultural and Media Studies. He holds a Master of Arts in English Language, Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos State, Nigeria; Master of Arts in Cultural and Media Studies, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria; and Bachelor of Arts Education in English Language and Literature, Tai Solarin University, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Nigeria.


A native of Obakobe in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, Mewhenu has been actively involved in community development since the early 1990s. His commitment began in the Ere Ward of Ogun State while he was still a student at the Local Government Primary School Ayede, Ado-Odo. Notably, he has earned the title of "Cultural Police" from a sociolinguist due to his unwavering dedication to promoting indigenous language and culture.


Over the past three decades, Mewhenu has played a pivotal role in advocating for education among the youth, particularly in the Ogu community. His efforts extend both as an individual and in collaboration with like-minded individuals. As a researcher and writer, he has presented papers at various local and international conferences. Some of his works have been published in reputable journals such as African Notes: Journal of the Institute of African Studies and the Journal of African Languages and Literature. Additionally, his contributions can be found in the edited volume titled "New Findings in West African Languages and Literature."


Mewhenu holds the position of founder member and Secretary of Ogu General Assembly, showcasing his leadership and organizational skills. In service to his country, he currently serves as a Senior Education Officer at the Lagos State University International School, Ojo, Lagos State, Nigeria.


Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mewhenu is dedicated to family life and is happily married with children. His multifaceted contributions to education, cultural preservation, and community development highlight his significant impact on both local and international levels.
